Dentures are mobile prosthetic aids constructed to replace the lost teeth. They need to be removed from the mouth regularly to keep oral hygiene. Complete dentures are not anchored into the jaw bone because this type of dentures is used when there are no teeth in the jaw.
Partial dentures are held in place by the remaining teeth which makes them more comfortable to wear.
Dental implants can be used to anchor complete dentures in place of missing teeth. That makes them more stable and gives patients a sense of safety while the function of the prosthesis itself is thereby substantially improved.
